Written critics: An die Spitze der Offenen Klasse stellte ich einen Rüden von nur ca. 63 cm Risthöhe, unübertrefflich in Bärenhaftigkeit und Typ, der Körper in allen Teilen harmonisch geformt, Skelettgliederung und Läufe ohne Tadel. Sein breiter Rücken mit straffer Linie, schön gerundeter Kruppe und der guten Rutenhaltung vollendeten das typische Allgemeinbild. Es war eine Freude diesen kleinen Schwarzen sich bewegen zu sehen. Einzig sein Kopf, zwar mit gutem Seitenprofil, kastanienbraunen Augen und bestem Gebiss, dürfte noch etwas rassiger geprägt sein. Als ich den Katalog nach dem Richten nachschlug, stellte sich heraus, dass dieser ca. 5 Jahre alte Rüde wohl im Neufundländer-Zuchtbuch eingetragen ist, jedoch ohne Abstammungsangaben. Er ist ein Findelkind und die mir auf meine Erkundigung dargelegten Begleitumstände erklärten mir, weshalb die Papiere verloren gingen und seine Abstammung unbekannt ist. Dieser kleine Blacky sollte aber trotzdem zur Zucht verwendet werden, schon wegen seines vollendeten Typs.

ONLY 200 dogs that are not related to each other!
This is a very low and alarming number!
It would be highly desirable if no mating would occur worldwide below the threshold of AVK 85% to open the gene pool.
